Global IT Academy believes that the highest level of learning is the sharing of
knowledge. Following that belief, Global IT reaches out the Gifted and Talented
"GATE" of Brea Junior High. GITA's instructor along with its members teaches two
10 week computer science sessions to junior high students. For the first 10
weeks, HTML and JavaScript are taught to make basic interactive webpages. The
second 10 weeks is an introduction to Microsoft's VB.net. Students will use a
real commercial software environment to create basic interactive Window's
interfaces.

One out come for GATE is for junior high students to meet successful
high school students as role-models and mentors. University studies show,
early exposure to technology for younger students will provide motivation for
them to follow technical IT career pathways. Our overall goal is to provide deep
enrichment for high performing self-motivated learners.
